Levoit Core 300 vs GermGuardian AC4825 (2026)
Levoit Core 300 vs GermGuardian AC4825 compared on filtration, noise, room coverage, and value for budget buyers.
#3 in our rankings · Best for bedrooms

Levoit Core 300
Best for: Bedrooms and small offices that need quiet, effective filtration.
Our recommendation
Choose the Levoit Core 300 for a bedroom: it is dramatically quieter and covers more area, and the filter costs stay low. Choose the GermGuardian AC4825 only when the budget is the absolute priority and the room is small, accepting louder operation in return.
Noise
This is the biggest gap. The Core 300's sleep mode runs around 24 dB, genuinely bedroom-quiet. The AC4825 is noticeably louder on all speeds, which matters in a room where you sleep.
Filtration approach
The Core 300 uses a straightforward 3-stage mechanical system. The AC4825 adds a UV-C light, whose real-world benefit is difficult to verify independently. The HEPA stages do the heavy lifting in both.
Coverage and cost
The Core 300 covers up to 219 sq ft versus 153 for the AC4825. The GermGuardian wins on purchase price, but the noise and coverage tradeoffs are steep.
